At the same time, Zdeněk Sýkora and Olga Svědínková were replaced on the board of directors by Zdeněk Stuchlík and Jan Štechr. Jakubše was Aero's president from 2001 after moving to the company from Czech Airlines, where he was president for five years. Klimeš joined Aero from Czech Television in 2003.
