This years Czech contender, City of the Sun, is a characteristic indie tale.
This year, more than 230 films will screen at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, some well-known gems along with newer successful films from other festivals and many world premieres.

The main category is the Feature Film Competition, which screens 14 movies from around the world in competition for the Crystal Globe
